The ideal first step in safety for the active child ages 8-12. This course allows kids to feel empowered, by learning life saving skills and techniques to keep them safe. Kids have been shown to uniquely retain First Aid common to their age group (i.e. broken bones, cuts) and survival skills. This class goes outdoors and explores regional hazards like poison oak, snakes, and ticks. Focus is placed on prevention.
This class is FUN! This class is PHYSICAL!! Hiking, compressions, 1st Aid challenges… who said life saving was easy!?!! Kids should come prepared to spend most of this class outdoors and bring a lunch.

Big Sur Overview:
Cabins, redwoods, whales, backpacking, swimming, friends, medical knowledge that of equal or greater than their parents- This is our advanced Kids camp. Highly unique, this course will be conducted over 4 days and three nights in Big Sur's iconic Big Creek Reserve and is intended for kids heavily interested in extreme sports and adventure recreation.
Big Sur Course Details:
The class begins at an overnight cabin overlooking the Pacific, and transitions to the hills for days 2-4. This all-out backpacking trip visits hot springs, water falls, the Pacific Ocean, and redwood groves.
Price: $499.00 covers food and accommodations Equipment is available for rent, however, students will be provided a list of gear expectations and fitness objectives.
