Thank you for your interest in Backcountry Medical Guides’ scholarship program! We believe that access to education is essential to every community and we strive to make the outdoors safer and more accessible for everyone. Through generous gifts and donors, we’ve been able to make that happen with full and partial scholarships granted to qualifying individuals, and a discounted rate for nonprofits.

By supporting the Backcountry Fund with a tax-deductible donation, 100 percent of your gift will go to program access, financial aid, and materials for those who could not afford it otherwise.

If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, please fill out the interest form below. We accept inquiries anytime and will direct you to completing the online application. Applications must be received in the quarter prior to requested training dates.

Application period:

  • January 1-January 15, 2024 (Training dates April-June 2024)

  • April 1-April 15, 2024 (Training dates July-September 2024)

  • July 1-July 15, 2024 (Training dates October-December 2024)

  • October 1-October 15, 2024 (Training dates January-March 2025)
