Program Overview

Our Wilderness First Responder for Mountain Bikers course covers the essentials of wilderness and emergency medicine, tailored to injuries and scenarios most common in mountain biking. This 72-hour internationally recognized course combines multi-day on-trail adventures for skills and scenario training, with 20 hours of self-paced pre-course work issued four weeks beforehand. Practice treating life threats, stabilizing injuries, and evaluating and managing medical and environmental hardships.

Whether you plan on working or guiding professionally, or just simply enjoy exploring on your own, our industry-standard Wilderness First Responder for Mountain Bikers course can help you stay safer and go further.

Knowing the quality of courses offered by BMG, I came into this WFR with high expectations. I was completely blown away not only by the engaging labs and realistic portrayal of the scenarios, but also by the fun and friendships founded over the week. This was one of the most memorable adventures I’ve had.
