Our adventure-based Wilderness First Aid (WFA) courses are for outdoor professionals and enthusiasts. Participants learn fundamental wilderness medicine and preventative techniques while developing important judgment skills for outdoor emergencies.
WFA: Hiking Programs
Perhaps one of the most beautiful places to embark on a WFA/WFR-R excursion, Big Sur is host to some of the most impressive and stunning terrain the west coast has to offer. We’ll practice skills and scenarios along our journey past crystal clear rivers, old growth redwoods, wind swept bluffs, and remote beaches. We offer WFA Sailing Programs through Maritime Medical Guides, the seafaring branch of Backcountry Medical Guides. Class offerings include internationally recognized and accredited courses in Advanced CPR/First Aid For Mariners.
