The Wilderness First Responder-Refresher (WFR-R) program is a recertification course for those who hold a current WFR certification. It is considered a standard for renewing expedition leaders, guides, outdoor professionals, and backcountry enthusiasts.
WFR-R: Hiking Programs
Perhaps one of the most beautiful places to embark on a WFA/WFR-R excursion, Big Sur is host to some of the most impressive and stunning terrain the west coast has to offer. We’ll practice skills and scenarios along our journey past crystal clear rivers, old growth redwoods, wind swept bluffs, and remote beaches. WFR-R: Sailing Programs
We offer WFR-R Maritime Programs through Maritime Medical Guides, the seafaring branch of Backcountry Medical Guides. Class offerings include internationally recognized and accredited courses in Advanced CPR/First Aid For Mariners which qualify for a Wilderness First Responder-Refresher for those holding a current WFR Certification or within 1 year of expiration.
This program day hikes through beautiful Larrabee State Park; home to Douglas Fir forests, gorgeous coastline, and expansive views of the Salish Sea. Join us in Bellingham, WA!
