The rugged coastline and breathtaking vistas of Big Sur have been the backdrop for our multi-day wilderness medicine programs since their inception. Fifteen years later, our Big Sur WFA and WFR programs still stand as our flagship experiences, delivering an exceptional educational adventure.

This is undoubtedly one of our flagship experiences- 15 years running. Five days of medical training at the incredible Big Creek Reserve in Big Sur, CA. Coastal redwoods, rugged canyons, gorgeous beaches, ocean vistas, sunsets, wildlife- an ideal place to unplug, inspire, and immerse yourself.
Complete self-paced online coursework before you arrive, then spend the week in the field. You leave with WFR, CPR/AED, and Epi Auto Injector certifications valid for 2 years with a one year extension.
Class size is limited to 12 (sometimes 16) depending on the reserve assets available for the week. Camping is included in the tuition. The food program is an additional charge ($160) that we highly recommend. Details below.
