First Aid/CPR for Mountain Bikers | Youth Program

This one-day First Aid/CPR for Mountain Bikers program is designed for youth (ages 12-14) and focuses on injury prevention, responsible riding practices, calling for help, and basic first aid skills.

The course takes place in the Chuckanut Mountains near Larrabee State Park in Bellingham, Washington.

Curriculum & Objectives:

  • Learn risk management techniques

  • Recognize & treat life threatening conditions, common traumatic injuries, and medical emergencies

  • Develop important judgment skills for riding

  • Practice calling for help & assisting evacuations

Certifications:

  • First Aid certification, valid for 2 years

  • CPR: AED Adult/Child/Infant, valid for 2 years 

Location:

  • Riding and skills practice will be on Galbraith Mountain
